Well the bro in the pickup didn't either. Yeah it was a V10 against a V8 (I think), but I LOL'd when the grocery getter hardly lost a step on the bro-dozer.
The woman's cackle is like fingernails on a chalkboard.

Yeah traction is really what won this battle.

Plus, I highly doubt that VW can haul a trailer with 7000 pounds of gear on rough roads and construction sites for 15 years or 500+k miles like a lets say, 7.3 Power Stroke or old school Dodge Cummins.

just goes to prove that bro trucks are poser trucks and that the touareg TDI does not fuck around when it has to get shit done.

Why? Why do you think that? Ever seen the Fifth Gear episode where they tow a 747 with an R50? That's not even a diesel, and its all built up for road driving.

duh dude, a Toyota Tundra towed the space shuttle, doesn't mean it can do it day in and day out lol. Have you ever towed more than 10,000 pounds in everyday traffic (includes city and highway) Some of our fleet vehicles are sometimes on running for more than 24 hours. It easily gets in the triple digits in the summer time round these parts. Mix in rough roads and the strain in a drive line is extremely high. Don't believe everything you see on Top Gear/ Fifth Gear. A lot of people mention that clip, that's why I refer to this video
there is also a vid of one single guy towing the same plane. A pick up truck's maximum towing rating is NOT the limit of what they can move dude. These Super Duty vehicles are over built bumper to bumper to last 10 or 20+ years towing heavy gear from job site to job site 7 days a week. A VW Tourage will simply not do that for so long unless you have deep pockets.

Not more than 10k...but about 6 or 7, and that was with a 5.3 liter 9-7x. I am not saying these things are fleet construction/towing vehicles. I'm saying that they are perfectly capable of handling whatever any of their owners are likely to ask of them. They are not weak vehicles.

They are strong yes, but it's basic drive line mechanics and traction, something 99% of the commenters on that video (bro truck vs VW) don't understand. That's why bro trucks are so dumb. It's like putting 28 inch chrome wheels on an Enzo and trying to race a BRZ on a track, the BRZ would most likely win but it's still an Enzo. Shit, a good F250 and Tourage diesel are running around the same price. now a days lol. They way people treat truck especially here in TX, it won't surprise me if they start sticking little 4 cylinders in them. They would still sell like crazy because of the primary reason " It's big so that means it safer ". More than half of them will never see a day of work or off road. Plus, people just can fit in the back seat or front seat for that matter of a Ford Fiesta lol. For the same $25,000, just get a truck.

I really wanted to hear the tears of the douche in the truck. I endured that fucking woman's voice to hear some axle hop and no tears. God dammit.

It's still funny because the asshat in the truck thinks he's hot shit and it took something this stupid to prove that he's not. No one is saying a Touareg is a better tow vehicle than a proper truck. Everyone is, however, saying that this dumbass in his tarted up truck has done nothing but make it worse.

Let's talk maintenance bills..
I'm no fan of bro trucks (and by no fan I mean I actually really don't like them), but we're comparing a cheap-ish work machine against an expensive SUV with lots of tech and maintenance bills that can buy you a cheap used car.
And all in all, it really isn't that quick.. 0-120mph would be about 36-37 seconds, or 10 seconds more than a GTI:

Oh I agree with that. I hate douche-trucks and their drivers more than anything. Annoying as hell. I also just think that the Touareg is a lot better at doing truck things than most people give it credit for...and the best part is when driving it you don't even have to get sucked into the brodozer culture either haha
